Dakota County first time home buyer programs
Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA)
This is a great program to help those purchasing property in any part of Dakota County. Homebuyers accessing this may be eligible for Downpayment and Closing Cost Assistance.
****The Dakota County CDA has gone and done it again - they have reduced the rate in the program to 4.00%. This rate is effective Friday, August 19th and will be retroactive for any loans reserved the 19th and going forward.****
To apply for this program, you will need to contact a participating mortgage lender. You can receive up to $10,000 for down payment and/or closing costs. Dakota County has their own application process that your approval lender can assist you with in determining the eligitbility.
Some program guidelines and details include:
- Income Limits are $84,000 for a one to two person household.
- There is a maximum purchase price of $276,683
- Lower than market rate
- Three levels of assistance
- 10%, 5% and 2.5% of the loan amount with maximum of $10,000 depending on household income.
