Bottineau is a neighborhood in Minneapolis and is a member of the Northeast Community. Its boundaries are 16th/17th avenues NE, the beautiful Mississippi River, Lowry Avenue NE and University Avenue. The neighborhood was named for legendary pioneer who purchased land in the area in 1845, Pierre Bottineau.

The majority of homes in Bottineau were built before 1940 and are single-family homes. The architectural styles common here are two story Shotgun style or Folk/American/Victorian. There are also many duplexes and apartment complexes throughout the area.
