The Cooper neighborhood is situated in southeastern Minneapolis, within the community of Longfellow. It is bounded by the Mississippi River, 38th Avenue South, 34th Street East, and the 27th Street railroad tracks. The neighborhood is named after American novelist James Fenimore Cooper.
