The neighborhood of Hale is located in southeastern Minneapolis within the greater Nokomis Community. It’s surrounded by Chicago Avenue, Minnehaha Creek, 55th Street and Cedar Avenue. The neighborhood took its namesake after an American revolutionary named Nathan Hale. Hale has much to offer residents, from great shopping and dining within minutes of the neighborhood to the open green spaces and the nearby Diamond Lake.
The Hale neighborhood has a significant portion of single-family homes. The architectural styles featured here are early 20th century two-story Colonial homes, Tudors, and Ramblers from the 1950s.

With the Minnehaha Creek at its border and with Lake Nokomis here, too, the Hale neighborhood is largely residential and recreational, with plenty of park facilities. This area is as beautiful as it sounds. Hale is also the home of an English Language Learners school that provides educational opportunities for children.
