Hawthorne Minneapolis Real Estate
The neighborhood of Hawthorne is located in northern Minneapolis and is a member of the Near North community. It is surrounded by the Mississippi River, Broadway Avenue, Emerson Avenue and Lowry Avenue. The Hawthorne neighborhood is named after the American writer Nathaniel Hawthorne who was born in 1804. Hawthorne has a host of features to offer residents of this neighborhood, most of all a suburban feeling neighborhood right next to downtown Minneapolis.
The neighborhood is home to Farview Park, a hilltop area that has beautiful old trees and a scenic view of the city of Minneapolis. This is by far one of the best spots in the entire metro.
Hawthorne has a variety of architectural styles within its limits, with a history of residential homes going back over 125 years. There are rowhouses and Victorian homes from the late 19th century, vintage Queen Anne homes from the 1890s and many more modern homes that have been constructed in the past few decades.
