The neighborhood of Kenny is located in south Minneapolis and is a member of the Southwest Community. The neighborhood is bounded by Logan Avenue South, Lyndale Avenue, 54th Street and Highway 62. Kenny is named in honor of an Australian nurse named Sister Elizabeth Kenny; she helped develop an efficient way to treat polio.

The Kenny Neighborhood Summer Days brings the entire neighborhood together every year. This event showcases the depth of this tight-knit community. The residents here take pride in their homes and all their community has to offer. Grass Lake is a 27 acre wetland within the neighborhood limits, a beautiful area that is considered a hidden gem amongst locals.

Most of the homes in Kenny were built between 1930 and 1950, with the most prominent architectural style being the Bungalow.
