Marshall Terrace neighborhood is located in Minneapolis within the greater Northeast community. This district is bordered by Saint Anthony Parkway, the Mississippi River, Lowry Avenue, 4th Street NE and University Avenue. Marshall Terrace is named after Minnesota’s fifth governor, William R. Marshall.
While most of the Marshall Terrace area isn't residential, the residential areas themselves are picturesque, with old trees lining the streets and sidewalks traversing underneath the canopy. The traditional neighborhood is setup as a grid, with one story to 1.5 story single family homes making up most of the area.

This neighborhood is a mostly industrial neighborhood and about 20% of the land here is used for residential purposes. Many of the residential area is mature, with tree-lined streets and not a hint to suggest that an industrial area is nearby. A popular feature of this area is Marshall Terrace Park, a park featuring picnic facilities, basketball court, a baseball field, a swimming pool and summer activity programs for kids.
