Phillips Minneapolis Neighborhood Information

The neighborhood takes its name from Wendell Phillips, a 19th century abolitionist. The land in East, West & Midtown Phillips is a mix of residential, commercial and industrial zones. The area is home to several large employers, including the newly revitalized Sears Building, Wells Fargo Mortgage, Allina Health Care Services and Abbott Northwestern Hospital. The East Phillips Community center is a hub for the neighborhoods and includes indoor basketball courts, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, a craft room, and a playground.
