Why First Time Home Buyers Should Consider Phillips

The Phillips neighborhood is highly praised for its rich diversity and its prime location just south of Downtown Minneapolis. Interstate 35W and Highway 55 run alongside the community’s east and west borders, making a commute to the heart of the city a breeze from just about any point in the neighborhood. But along with that, Phillips can also be a great place to begin a home search if you're looking for an older historic home at a reasonable price. Most two-story homes for sale in Phillips start in the low-to-mid $200,000s, and that’s usually enough to get you a place with plenty of living space, and sometimes even some nicely updated finishes on the inside that can help jump start any modifications you plan on doing once buying.

Where is Phillips Located?

As mentioned above, the Phillips neighborhood in Minneapolis sits immediately south of downtown in between the Seward and Whittier communities. Most recognize Phillips’ boundaries to be defined by Interstate 35W to the west, Interstate 35W/94 to the north, Highway 55 to the east, and East Lake Street to the south.
