Regina Minneapolis Real Estate
The Regina neighborhood is located on the south side of Minneapolis in the Nokomis Community. It is surrounded by Chicago Avenue, Interstate 35W, 42nd Street East and 46th Street East. The neighborhood is named for the former Regina parochial school that now is home to a Head Start program and a day-care center.
Like many other Minneapolis neighborhoods, Regina is an ethnically, culturally, and religiously diverse area. Despite this, Regina has a strong community filled with residents who want to make their neighborhood great.
This area has two different times in its history that spurted crops of new homes: one in the 1920s and 1930s and the second occurring just after World War II. The area is home to stucco Tudor style homes, most of which were built in the early 20th century and later many starter homes were built, constructed with brick or brick accents.
